The Bronx Independent Cinema Center is building a future where Bronx filmmakers thrive. Founded in 2022, we amplify underrepresented voices through screenings, mentorship, and industry connections— turning bold ideas into cinematic reality and bringing Bronx stories to the global stage.
Why the Bronx?
For too long, The Bronx has been underrepresented in film—both in storytelling and industry access. We are changing that. The Bronx is a cultural powerhouse with rich narratives that deserve to be seen and celebrated. However, there is a lack of dedicated spaces for independent film screenings and industry networking in the borough. We fill this gap by providing a dedicated cinema center, incubator programs, and career development opportunities tailored to the needs of Bronx filmmakers.
Our Vision
BICC envisions a permanent cinema hub that will serve as a creative and professional launching pad for filmmakers from underrepresented backgrounds.
We are committed to expanding opportunities, increasing visibility, and creating sustainable career pathways for Bronx-based filmmakers, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and network to thrive.
